NEXOS is an initiative included in the conclusions report and projects of the High Level Group for the Alliance of Civilizations, presented by The President of the Government of Spain, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, at the UN headquarters in December 2006

OBJECTIVES

To explore the links between civilizations within a framework of respect for human rights and to promote cultural and religious tolerance. These are some areas pursued by NEXOS.

The objective that guides NEXOS is to contribute with initiatives to help increase the awareness of the affinity between the people who create, through customs and different cultures, the most fertile and fascinating kaleidoscope of society.

Asking ourselves, what we have in common or how the other thinks, opens the door to understanding, dialogue, exchange of ideas and tolerance.

Ultimately, it’s about showing the people who establish this broad social multicultural and religious spectrum, the grounds and ideas supported by the Alliance of Civilizations and whose sources are feeding the NEXOS project.
