I am pleased to welcome you and convey my deep gratitude and appreciation for your participation here today.

I am also proud because the presence of this distinguished group of decision makers, politicians, economists, financers, cultural leaders and technology and media experts-sitting side by side with our youth-reflects your sincere and significant commitment as partners in the Silatech initiative, thereby proving that through our combined efforts, we can rise above the circumstances.

I believe that the challenge presented by this initiative requires us to be stronger than our circumstances, especially given that is strategic goal is the youth of the Arab region and the world. With them and for them, we will reach for tools to help them realise their potential and to release their capabilities, enabling them to play a significant role now, in the resent as well as in the future.

That is why I am delighted that this event is hosting participants from different generations where wisdom, insight and experience interact with initiative, courage and ambition to create a dynamic reaction for the here and now.

As you know, we are here today to discuss Silatech and one may wonder about the significance and objective of this project.
The idea of Silatech initiative has crystallised through my deep conviction that creating a better future of peace and prosperity cannot be left to academic theory but requires practical and effective solutions to resolve the major issues before us.
