Ciki and Nino, two soldiers one Bosnian and the other Serb, who are trapped between enemy lines, in no man's land during the war in Bosnia in 1993. While Ciki and Nino are trying to find a solution to this complicated problem, a blue helmet sergeant of the United Nations is prepared to help them without following the orders of his superiors.

Collé Ardo lives in an African village. Seven years ago, he did not allow her daughter to be subjected to female circumcision, a practice he thinks is a barbarism. Today, four girls flee to escape the ritual of purification and ask Collé to protect them. Since then, they are face with two values: respect for the right of asylum (moolaadé) and the tradition of female circumcision (salindé).
